What is Deep Rest?

Deep Rest is a unique form of mindfulness meditation practiced in the lying position. At its core, it is about becoming aware and letting go of the various tensions we hold:

  • Physical level: Releasing tension and allowing the body to rest

  • Emotional level: Acknowledging and accepting feelings without resistance or clinging 

  • Mental level: Letting thoughts come and go without control or judgment

This is not merely a relaxation or sleep technique but a mindfulness and open awareness practice. Relaxation may occur as a beneficial side effect, but it is not the primary goal.

The essence of Deep Rest is to be fully present and aware in a relaxed position—without the need to change or fix anything.

  • Introductory Session: 30 minutes via video or phone (free and non-binding)
